Kaydee Consulting · Financial Services

The team you brief
is the team that delivers.

A boutique financial services consulting firm. Every engagement runs under a fixed-scope Statement of Work: scope, deliverables, and price defined before Day 1. No T&M billing. No partner handover. No junior delegation.

The real problem

Most programmes don't fail at the technology layer.
They fail at requirements, and nobody owns fixing them.

Data integration gaps with no owner. Acceptance criteria written after the build starts. RAID logs that record issues but never resolve them. These are business analysis failures. They are also the primary reason programmes run over budget and past deadline. Kaydee Consulting is built to prevent them.

About the firm

Accountable for
deliverables, not hours.

Kaydee Consulting deploys senior BA practitioners and consultants into financial services programmes as a defined engagement, fixed scope, fixed fee. We are not a body shop placing contractors you manage. We are not a Big 4 firm billing you for partner margin and junior hours. We are a specialist team accountable for specific outputs, defined in the SOW before work begins.

Our team has spent over a decade inside financial services programmes at Australia's major banks, insurers, and lenders. Every engagement is led by a senior principal with direct delivery responsibility. For larger or multi-workstream programmes, we scale with additional senior practitioners, all at principal level. There is no junior layer.

Each engagement runs under a Master Services Agreement and Statement of Work. Scope, deliverables, exclusions, and price are fixed before Day 1. We cannot invoice outside it.

01
Senior delivery from Day 1

The practitioners you brief are the practitioners who deliver. No junior delegation, no partner who disappears after the pitch.

02
Fixed-scope SOW, not T&M

Scope, deliverables, exclusions, and price are fixed in the Statement of Work before work begins. We cannot invoice outside it.

03
Financial services exclusively

Retail banking, mortgage origination, AML/KYC, insurance, superannuation. Every engagement, every reference, for over a decade.

04
40–60% below Big 4 rates

You pay for delivery. Not real estate, bench time, internal training, or the 30–40% partner margin on every Big 4 invoice.

Practice areas

Five disciplines. One sector.
No engagements outside the SOW.

We do not take engagements outside financial services. Every capability listed below maps to a named programme our team has delivered, not a theoretical service offering.

01

Mortgage Origination & Lending

We have operated inside the broker channel, the credit risk layer, and the origination platform, not documented them from the outside.

  • Home loan origination, servicing, and settlement BA
  • Broker channel integration: NextGen ApplyOnline, lender APIs
  • Unsecured lending: credit cards, personal loans, digital lifecycle
  • Collateral management controls and requirements
  • Credit risk policy redesign and simplification
  • Responsible lending obligations and compliance requirements
02

AML/KYC & Financial Crime Compliance

We write requirements regulators can audit. Every rule traced to its obligation, signed off by compliance and legal before IT builds.

  • AML/CTF program design: AUSTRAC and FinCEN obligations
  • KYC onboarding system implementation (Fenergo, Salesforce CRM)
  • OCDD/ECDD, transaction monitoring rules, ACIP requirements
  • FATCA, CRS, RG 97: requirements and regulatory reporting
  • Financial crime controls for foreign tax residents (ATO/AUSTRAC)
  • BRD and traceability matrices through compliance and legal sign-off
03

Core Banking & Digital Transformation

We have been the requirements layer inside the programmes that rewrote how Australia's major banks operate.

  • Consumer core banking uplift: Westpac UNITE and CSH transformation
  • Digital lending platform design for origination products (Agile/SAFe)
  • Omni-channel customer journey and digital channel optimisation
  • End-to-end remediation programme requirements
  • Sprint planning, backlog refinement, stakeholder workshops
  • BRDs, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria at enterprise scale
04

Insurance, Wealth & Regulatory Reporting

We deliver regulatory reporting that ATO, ASIC, and compliance teams sign off, not requirements drafted and passed to someone else.

  • Life insurance, superannuation, and wealth platform BA
  • M&A integration and divestment: Westpac Life integration into TAL
  • Annual statements, exit statements, PAYG summaries, end-to-end
  • FATCA, CRS, RG 97, AIIR (ATO) regulatory reporting requirements
  • Lost Super remediation: requirements, testing, business sign-off
  • Vendor management, governance working groups, BRD sign-off
05

M&A & Divestment

We have sat inside the integration management office on both sides of the deal, carving entities out, standing them up, folding them in, with regulators, auditors, and boards watching.

  • Integration and separation management office (IMO/SMO) BA leadership
  • Day 1 readiness: TSAs, cutover planning, regulatory notifications
  • Customer, policy, and product migration requirements at portfolio scale
  • Data migration, reconciliation, and lineage across legacy and target platforms
  • Operating model design, process harmonisation, and legal entity restructure
  • Synergy tracking, stranded cost analysis, and post-close remediation
Why Kaydee

Big 4 firms bill for their overhead.
We bill for delivery.

A Big 4 partner sells the engagement. Junior analysts, two to four years out of university, deliver it. The partner appears for quarterly reviews. You fund their real estate, bench time, and 30–40% partner margin on every invoice. Kaydee Consulting is built differently.

Proof points

Three engagements.
Three outcomes we can name.

Major Australian Bank · Core Banking Transformation

NTBS to T24 migration: data lineage traced across credit, risk, finance, and regulatory domains

83% of the reporting estate eliminated through requirements, not top-down cuts.

Our team mapped data lineage across four domains for a core banking transformation. 1,500 reports traced to source. 250 remained, each with a named owner, a defined business need, and full traceability.

Big 4 Bank · AML/KYC System Replacement

AML/KYC system modernisation: architecture discovery, RFP criteria, and Steering Committee sign-off

Vendor selected. Business case signed off by Steering Committee.

Our practitioners led data architecture discovery for a cloud AML/KYC replacement. Mapped every CRM and Customer Master integration point. Delivered directly to Steering Committee with no open questions at sign-off.

Life Insurance · M&A Integration · Regulatory Reporting

Westpac Life into TAL: FATCA, CRS, and regulatory statements across life, super, and investment

Regulatory data traced end-to-end. Actuaries, legal, and risk teams aligned and signed off.

Our team defined data requirements, flow methodologies, and full traceability for annual regulatory statements across life, super, and investment products following the integration. BRD signed off by compliance and legal before any build commenced.
